One day I came across a lonely projector sitting in the middle of the room so I decided to have a mess around with it. To start, I wrote some lines on some sheets of  assitate paper. I projected them in the darkness against the walls of my studio;

I was enjoying this so I kept going. I moved to projecting onto the ceiling because I had more space. I began layering the sheets of writing, seeing how much different patterns I could create;

I then took some close-up photographs of the sheets of writing sitting on the projector;

I liked how these came out. They reminded me very much of this work by Ian Charlesworth which was done utilizing resin on perspex;
